![]() You will spawn more troops compared to the enemy with every point, and a greater percentage of the troops you spawn will be the type of troop you want because you will have a better composition than the AI. The other thing I don't think was mentioned was that levelling up a companion's (or yours if you need to vaska your points) tactics skill helps significantly with this kind of tactic. Ultimately, it will end up being trial and error for you to work out what strategy works for you. It takes longer to win the siege, but it's also cheaper. For the sieges, my preferred tactic is not to go full archer but have a line of heavy infantry/farmer meatshields to eat fire while I run around taking out the enemy archers or crossbowmen and just try to keep the heat off of my archers. ![]() If you have nothing but archers, the Sarranids will do better, because they are basically line infantry. If you can keep your archers from heavy fire, Vaegirs will outperform Sarranids any day of the week. Sarranids have an extra ironflesh, more 1H proficiency and better armour. They have more power draw, tend to have better bows and have more bow proficiency. I would always take Vaegir marksmen over Sarranid master archers, but it depends on what you're looking for and how you use them. ![]()
